Helen and Toby, proud parents of three sons and grandparents of a granddaughter and grandson, own and operate this family-run retreat. We built Akuna Estate with a vision to blend luxury, sustainability, and nature into a seamless experience for our guests.

We are situated just 45 minutes from the iconic Blue Mountains and 30 minutes from the renowned Mudgee wine region. This prime location offers the perfect escape from city life, providing easy access to local attractions and a chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and vibrant community that surrounds us.

At Akuna Estate, we focus on sustainability without compromising comfort. Our luxury tents are Australian-made and crafted from eco-friendly materials to minimize environmental impact. One of our estate’s signature features is the decking, constructed from wood salvaged from trees on our property that were damaged in the 2019 bushfires. Each piece of timber is milled, cut, and stained by hand, showcasing the beautiful grain and unique character of the wood.
